I must be honest: When Prince put this song out, I was not a fan - to put it mildly. Nothing about it, neither the melody, lyrics, or progressions appealed to me. There was nothing about it that I liked. Now 40 years later, you play it... and I love it! You soothe the feel, mellow out the rhythm and each section breathe its blues sounds and harmonies. We appreciate you and your work. Thanks, Kent.

You play songs that I didn't or wouldn't listen to when they were first published. (Yes, I'm that old.) But when you play them I can't hear them enough. In fact, I prefer listening to your rendition verses the original. I've set up and listened to you in a UA-cam mix of your arrangements for hours an unknown number of times. Young man, you are good! Keep it up. You some how pull out the essentials and play the 'feel' that sometimes even the original (over produced) misses. Also, I like the studio mixes - like this one - that bring out the bass more. I understand playing gigs live is different and you don't want to disappoint or give the unaware a misrepresentation. But, hey, I was a bass player. I can see that you're playing the notes. I just wanna hear them better. Kent, thank you.
